Purchasing from the Public

So You Have Some Things To Sell?

We do purchase from the public on occasion, provided items meet our quality standards and we feel that we can sell them in our store.

Please read the information below carefully so you will
understand our process and not be disappointed.

What you need to know:

  • We see a lot of rocks and such every week and only purchase a small portion of what we are offered.
  • As a retail shop we can only purchase goods for a maximum of 40% of the low market value.
  • The City of Tucson requires us, when purchasing from non-dealer sellers, to inspect the seller’s valid government-issued ID and to register the purchase.
  • Our Buyer is not always available. It is best to call ahead to make sure he will be in.
  • If our Buyer is not available, we will take pictures and gather some information. It may take a week or more for the Buyer to evaluate items offered for sale.
  • You will hear from us ONLY if the Buyer is interested. Please DO NOT call to inquire about the status of the Buyer’s evaluation. If you are in a hurry to make a sale we encourage you to pursue other options.
